At the bottom of the meadow where the tall reads grow, Lies a still calm duck pond with the creatures I know.
There’s a black tufty duck with a bright orange beak, He’s called Lucky Ducky and he quacks with a squeak.
A Moorhen called Millie has then nest next door, she hustles and bustles on the ponds sandy shore.
Then there’s Colin the Coot who’s a bit of a lad, always up to mischief, but he’s not really bad.
And Harry the Heron standing under the willow, still in the water as he waits for a minnow.
Last of all is Fiona, a tiny green frog who can swim under water and climb a big log.
