I run a 'Souper Lunch' club once a month at our church. We make home-made soup and serve it with bread, followed by tea and a slice of home-made cake. Today's soups were carrot and ginger, and tomato. It's a Jamie Oliver recipe and it calls for the whole tomato including the stalks for extra flavour. The stalks are removed before putting through the blender. We only charge £2 and served 43 today - a very worthwhile project.
