I'll never have one of those themed Christmas trees - I have too many memories tied up with the ornaments. The centre one is a walnut shell bought in the German town of Oberammagau.. Sadly not at the time of the Passion play, but nevertheless a very pretty town. The candy canes were given to me by a child in my class whose father worked on the American forces base near here. The Newfoundland one reminds me me of our time spent living there and all the lasting friends we made. Two years ago I spent three weeks in Uganda and brought back this simply made Santa as a reminder of a very humbling trip. The glass angel bought in Rome is one of my favourites.
I agree too, my tree is full of memories. I like all your decorations and so interesting to see where they come from and your connection with the country.
@jmj We went to Teso in North Eastern Uganda, with a team of 12 from church. The nearest big town was Soroti. We also travelled to the Sipi Falls for a weekend. We returned via Kampala and saw the source of the Nile.
