It must be Spring! I caught this swan building her nest - it was fascinating to watch as she (or he) tugged at the reeds from below the surface of the water. This pair of swans have built a nest for the past two years but no young have emerged. This year it's a little closer to the edge of the pond, so it may be easier to watch their progress..
Oh fav - beautiful shot. I must go down to the punt pool at St John's the swans built a nest there for years but it has been invaded by Canada geese - still a nest though!
