Floods in St Neots

photo 425
The River Great Ouse which flows through the Riverside Park in St Neots has finally overflowed it's banks. Thankfully I don't think any houses are threatened. Flood defences were installed a few years ago and seem to be doing their job - so far. The swans are enjoying the freedom to explore the park. The buildings at the back on the left are flats, and to the right it's the back of the Bridge Hotel.

@chamal Well it's actually the river which has overflowed into the park, so no - it's not a street! Did you notice the waste bin and the park bench under water?

Great capture Judith - it is even more flooded than when I was there last Saturday. Great lighting on the water and lovely clear focus

The marooned park furniture help convey the fact this water is not where it should be! Hope it recedes quickly.

Wow, where are all the people's cars? they must have to wear boots and waders to get in and out of their places. Hope it goes away soon.

I knew you'd had a lot of rain but didn't realise it was quite that much! The swan is quite happy though!
