We went to a Jubilee beacon lighting party on Monday at a nearby farm. After a weekend of very poor weather, the evening turned out fine and clear. The sunset and the moon were so beautiful they were almost the highlight of the evening. We were entertained by some barber shop singers - top photo, and later we lit a huge bonfire and toasted the Queen. It was a memorable evening.

But a flag should never touch the ground.
