Lady's fingers? by busylady

Lady's fingers?

I'm sure used to call this flower lady's fingers when I was little as some varieties used to come with a red tip, like painted finger-nails. However, according to the wild flower book it's called bird's-foot trefoil, sometimes called lady's slipper.
We used to call this egg and bacon when I was a child. I don't know why! Lovely capture of this sunny little plant

this is lovely judith. Have you thought of cropping the sky out, as it gives the image more impact without the white on the top

@phil_howcroft Thanks for the suggestion. I did crop it anyway, but didn't think of cropping out the sky. Will remember that next time.

@rosiekind We call it 'eggs and bacon' too, the only reason I can think of is that the colours, yellow and a bit of reddy brown, are the colours of egg and bacon (sort of). I also know it as bird's foot trefoil.
