I have been picking these flowers to make a carrot and marigold cake. The petals go in the cake and are also sprinkled on top of the icing. These are the left-over ones floating in a bowl on the coffee table. The recipe came from a garden I visited in Bedfordshire. It's called Kathy Brown's garden and she makes the most delicious cakes using ingredients from her garden.
