Autumn at Madingley Hall by busylady

Autumn at Madingley Hall

There was an open day at Madingley Hall today, and although it rained all day it didn't spoil our enjoyment of the gardens. Capability Brown was employed in 1756 to re-design the gardens. I must come back and see then in the summer! Hope to post pictures of the 16th century hall later in the week.
PS Forgot to say thanks to all who commented and fav'd yesterday's picture which got onto the PP!

They are lovely in the summer too! My friend Juliet (with the littles one I sewed the dress for - which miraculously fitted!) used to be a gardener here. She held her wedding reception tea party there too - it was REALLY cold that day! I didn't see any of the 10K - must have been in the wrong place - hideous weather for it - your daughter was very wise!!
