I've struggled to choose a picture of Madingley Hall which says it all so I've settled on a collage instead. It was a wet day so I've boosted the colour on these. Madingley Hall was begun by John Hynde in 1543 and continued to be added to for a number of years. The Prince of Wales stayed there in 1861, although he didn't stay long due to the death of his father, Prince Albert. It is now used by Cambridge University for the Institute of Continuing Education. It is also used for conferences, weddings and residential courses.
I haven't had a very good day today so I'll try and cheer myself up and find 3 good things.
1) I've wrapped all the apples for storing
2) I introduced a new friend to the tennis club - (can't play myself yet though.)
3) Going to choir tonight - that's always good for a feel-good boost.
Beautiful collage - I've never been there so it is nice to see such lovely views of the hall. Hope you feel better in yourself after your singing. It usually lifts the spirits as I know when I sing myself silly in the car!
I really should make a visit to Madingley Hall it is so close to me, does it have large grounds and gardens? I like how how you create your collages.
I would love to sing in a choir, my sister is a member of a choir in London and has a fantastic time entertaining local groups. I'm not that good at singing though just love to do it!!!!
@lesleyallen We didn't get much chance to see the gardens because of the weather but yes, they were quite extensive with a lake (or at least water) and places to picnic. Collages were created through Picasa. I just saved the pictures in the holding tray at the bottom, then clicked on create collage option at the top. I belong to a choir in Buckden - and I'm not that good either but I just love it.
