Madingley Hall by busylady

Madingley Hall

Finally a picture of Madingley Hall itself where we visited on Tuesday for the open day. A rather grand Tudor building originally owned by the Hynde family in the 16th century. It is now owned by Cambridge University and is used by the Institute of Continuing Education to provide 'an extensive progamme of courses for adult students.' I thought that the tree in the centre rather spoiled the view through the trees but there wasn't much I could do about it.

Well the tree isn't visible above the top so really you can't see it that much. A magnificent house Judith, you would be inspired to learn here I think!

Chop it down Judith! My friend was gardener there for quite a while - I'll get her to put a word in. And she had her wedding reception tea part there - very nice venue.
