We spent a very pleasant afternoon in a friend's garden discussing the latest book group read. We had Pimms followed by tea and biscuits, and of course served in china cups! I forgot to take the picture till one of the group had left and the tea was all drunk, but I'm sure you get the picture. We've read another one of Tess Gerritsen's books - the Bone Garden - which we all found to be a much more interesting read. This one was very gory at first and also very contrived. A good holiday read though.
Isn;t it super to act refined - Pimms , ! Tea & biscuits !!! AND served in china cups --(beats a mug any day !!) Such a delightful way to spend an afternoon !
A lovely typically English pastime! They look as though they are enjoying themselves and who wouldn't after Pimms & tea & biscuits and sitting in the sunshine. I shall have to have a look for the Bone Garden now that you have read it and found it interesting!
Same as Beryl I think it makes it more special when you get the nice china cups out...a lovely happy picture of your book club. Have never read any of that authors books, will look it up!
