We picked this enormous apple from the tree in our garden. It weighs a massive 1lb 2oz, and even better - there are no bugs in it! It's been an amazing year for fruit - it must e thanks to all that rain - and the sun of course. I've included the tennis ball so you have some idea of the size, and the frog just for fun.
@sabanford No sorry, I can't remember the variety. It's very versatile though as it's almost sweet enough to be an eating apple, but is really a a cooking apple.
