Somerset House by busylady

Somerset House

Despite the rail disruptions yesterday I travelled to London to meet up with two ex-work colleagues. We visited Somerset House which stands on the site of a Tudor mansion built in 1547. The present building was rebuilt in 1776 and houses the Cortauld gallery which houses many paintings by famous artists. Just behind this statue of George 3rd they are preparing a public ice-rink for use during the winter.
Very nice pov,a lovely architectural building.
