Riverside sunset

The rain stopped and the sun came out this afternoon so I went down to the Riverside park for some fresh air and to catch the sunset. I'm not sure what kind of duck flew out from the river bank but someone may be able to identify it for me. As far as I could tell it was black and smaller than a mallard. This time tomorrow I'll be in warmer climes!
