Monumento al Campesino

This monument created by Cesar Manrique (right middle) stands at the geographical centre of Lanzarote. The site has been developed as an art foundation and is dedicated to local peasant workers. The architecture is very striking with its clean lines and sense of calm. Thank you for all your support on my pics while we were away. I appreciate them all despite not being able to reply. .

Just seen this on your page. We love Cesar Manrique and as the weather in Lanzarote in 2005 was the worse ever for 20 years, we spent the rainy days exploring all of his buildings.
