My Tower Poppy by busylady

My Tower Poppy

After all the bad press, I'm pleased to say my poppy has been safely delivered by a very polite and friendly delivery man. I found a sunny spot in the garden to take a picture and display the box it came in. For anyone who missed the story, 888,246 of these hand-made poppies were displayed around the Tower of London last summer and up until Remembrance Day. They were then sold off to the public , raising funds for various war charities.
How wonderful to have a piece of such great event.

Beautiful Judith and a great piece of art to remember the event . The artist who researched ,designed and made these poppies was on the TV one day last week being interviewed on this magnificent work -- A lovely unassuming young man !!

@julzmaioro Yes it's designed to be outside and comes with a metal stick. It's in the garden at the moment but I may move it in the summer.

Nice tribute Judith. I was annoyed that I missed the display at the Tower of London. I'd have loved to see it.
