Zooming in for the kill

It looks as if this hoverfly is about to devour the black bug on the poppy. I just liked the bright red poppy and even the hoverfly is almost in focus!

Whats the difference between a bee and a hover fly? Must be the shape or perhaps the colour. Poppy is lovely!

@maggiemae Well a hoverfly hovers and doesn't seem to buzz like a bee. They're smaller and thinner than bees and I don't think they sting but don't quote me - I'm no expert!
