The lunar eclipse at 3am this morning was spectacular, although not easy to photograph partly due to the progress of the moon. We spent 45 minutes outside trying various settings and using a tripod, and none of them proved to be in focus. This was something like a two second exposure and you can see how much the moon has moved in that time.However, it was worth getting up for - I'll probably be past it when this phenomenon occurs again in 2033!
