Buckden Towers and the knot garden

This grand building graces the village of Buckden just North of here. The brick towers were built in 1475. It's most famous Royal connection is with Katherine of Aragon who stayed here from July 1533 until May 1534, before she was transferred to Kimbolton Castle a few miles North of Buckden. She died in 1536.
A wonderful and magical castle and garden -- a great pov and capture Judith !

Such a wonderful building Judith. If only it's walls could talk with all that history. Great pov showing off both the tower and lovely green knot garden.

Poor Katherine I suppose the first divorced woman in the country! Littke did she know she was one of the lucky ones! A beautiful place to spend some of your last days, I like your low down shot Judith.
