Sweetcorn success! by busylady

Sweetcorn success!

Last year the small muntjack deer trampled all our sweetcorn and ate the lot! This year we've erected a temporary fence around the corn to protect it and hey presto - success at last! It's very disheartening to watch it grow from a seed, wait for the right moment to pick it and then find something else has got there before you! This one made it successfully to the dinner plate and was delicious!
Yum - and a great image.

Looks delicious. We don't have any luck planting any type of fruit or veg in our garden. Either the blue tongue lizards, the possums, the bats or the 40 degree heat in summer get to it all before we do.
