The Hive at Kew by busylady

The Hive at Kew

This is the beehive installation at Kew gardens in London. It is made of thousands or pieces of aluminium and fitted with LED lights which glow and fade in response to the activity of the bees. It was originally installed as part of the 2015 Milan expo. It was quite magical to stand beneath it and hear the musical drone although I'm not sure that the bees were that busy in December!
A super capture
