A day out in London started with a coffee at the St. Pancras Hotel - at a price! This offering cost £5 each and we were told that there was a minimum spend of £12.50 per person! On questioning the waitress further she grudgingly informed us that if we stayed less then 30 minutes that rule did not apply! The day got better after that!
Wow! I hate that type of behaviour! I can understand not wanting tables to be taken at lunchtime by coffee drinkers sitting for hours, but really, 12.50 per person between 8.30 and 5.30 pm? That's a real cheek. Fortunately they don't apply it to you as you were in and out in a flash! Nice shot and interesting information!
