SS Great Britain

I couldn't pick just one picture of this amazing restoration so here's a collage instead. The SS Great Britain languished off the Falkland Islands for many years and was used a coal store, but in 1970 she was rescued and brought back to Bristol dry docks where she was built. Originally launched in 1843 she was by far the largest vessel afloat at the time. Built by Isambard Kingdom Brunel she was the first iron steamer to cross the Atlantic in just 14 days. She carried thousands of immigrants to Australia from 1852 and has been lovingly restored to reflect this. More details here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SS_Great_Britain
Fantastic collage. The top middle shot is my favourite, but they are all good. Looks an interesting thing to visit. Fav
