SOYUZ space capsule by busylady

SOYUZ space capsule

This is the capsule which Tim Peake and his two fellow travellers used on their voyage to and from the International Space Station in 2015/16. It endured temperatures of more than 1500 degrees Celsius, and travelled at speeds of 17000 mph. It is displayed in Peterborough Cathedral until November. You can also see the space suit he wore and have a go at experiencing a virtual reality space journey. A most interesting visit.
What a wonderful display and capture . The whole experience must have been interesting Judith !

Fascinating shot. Off to Lincon next week and considered going via Perterborough to see this, but too much of a diversion, I think. Forgot how far north Lincioln is from Leicester!
