Kelmarsh tunnel by busylady

Kelmarsh tunnel

Another day, another cycle ride. This time along a different stretch of the Brampton Valley way in Northamptonshire, towards Market Harborough. It runs along a disused railway line now converted into a very pretty cycle track. I must admit that although we had good lights on our bikes I decided to walk the tunnel as I found it rather dark and scary.
It’s so good when disused railways are converted to cycle ways as they’re interesting and the gradient is gentle. Nice pic.

Nice shot. I've seen some pretty impressive shots from the inside as well. Keep meaning to go and have a look.

SO lovely to have safe cycle routes. Not so many around our part of the country.

It does look a bit daunting...I think I would have thought twice about walking through there. It looks a very nice bike ride though. Lots of signs!

@rosiekind thanks Rosie. No holidays on the horizon so we're making the most of places nearby.

I think that if railways can't be used as railways, then converting them to cycle routes is a good idea. A nice shot of the tunnel entrance.
