I was on duty today as part-time organist. Our lovely Daphne who usually plays has not been well recently so she asked me to step in for her. Some lovely hymns today including Love Divine, all love's excelling. How many of you had that one at your wedding?
I am always in awe of anyone that can play instruments. Think I secretly wish I had learnt to play the piano, I could read music at one time, but not fast enough! This looks great .
Oh beautiful, we did, it must be lovely being able to play. I am so frustrated since my op I have not been able to use my arm to even practice the few songs I can play very badly. I got a keyboard for my big birthday last year.
A beautiful organ , ans so good to be able to play this in your church - I used to play sometimes in my chapel at home (a teenager before going to Collage ) two keyboards , but I do not remember so many stops !!
@beryl I don't need to use many of the stops as we have some presets. The previous organist set up three sets A, B and C. You can see the 'A' lit up in the bottom left hand corner. The only one I use regularly is the one to connect the foot pedals to the lower keyboard.
