Our apple tree is laden with fruit this year, so we are storing some, freezing, some and giving some away. Some are too high to reach so we have to wait for them to fall. This is a M&S recipe using a thicker American style batter and it was delicious. Not very good for the waistline though! They are topped with creme fraiche and cinnamon sugar.
