I was helping at this fabric sale today organising and serving refreshments. A supplier comes to this venue every two years and attracts local patchworkers and sewers. We did well with the refreshments, served in a separate room where other traders were selling their goods. This was taken earliy on before it got too busy.
Btw, I did buy some fabric of course. Some backing fabric for a quilt I'm working on and some fat quarters
Now that is somewhere that Katharine would love to have been, happy to add more material to her collection awaiting sewing! Be honest, did you give way to temptation and buy material there?
Wonderful, just look at all that fabric, wonderful, I used to sew and this would have me enthralled but I’ve moved away to other crafts. I have made a lot over the years, wedding and bridesmaid dresses, coats skirts blouses all my daughters’ dresses and play clothes but got to say it was all out of necessity and not for pleasure!!
I’m not a sewer at all but can appreciate & enjoy this picture of all these lovely bolts of fabric. I think to be able to sew is on a par with being able to play the piano…we all wish we could! Sewing Bee on this Wednesday…can’t wait!
