We made ploughman's lunches at church today. The numbers are still quite low, as people are wary of catching covid again, or they are away catching up on holidays they've missed. We are living in strange times. The wildfires in London were such a shock to see as it's not something we expect to see in the UK. Much cooler today thank goodness.
@phil_howcroft It's essentially a church lunch, but we welcome all in the community and have many who come for a cheap lunch and a chat with friends who don't attend the church. We only charge £2.50 but we are thinking of putting the price up in September as last month we didn't even cover our expenses. Also the food hygiene inspectors have got a bit more fussy so we are less inclined to freeze things for anothter time.
A nice shot of what looks like a lovely lunch! I can fully understand people being more cautious about meeting others than they used to be. There still seem to be a lot of Covid-19 cases in our area.
