Soup and a roll

We were invited to our daughter's for dinner yesterday. It was roast chicken, so I offered to take away the carcass and make soup. She gave me a leek and a swede (or turnip where i come from) and this is the result. We kept two portions for ourselves.
As usual our 3 year old grandson wanted to bake this morning so we made chocolate crispy cakes. Again, we only kept two.
Just a diary shot today
So well presented. We have a soup maker & we use it quite regularly.

Now that looks so appetizing Judith, - there is nothing like a home-made soup is there! Nice to see your patchwork table mats in use!!

I love the way you set this up with so much to see. I find your salt and pepper containers so interesting. Are those bronze thingy's weights Judith?
