Hoofdtoren, Hoorn

This is the former harbour control tower in the attractive town of Hoorn. It was built in 1532 and is now used as a restaurant. Hoorn was a port when the Zuiderzee was connected to the North Sea. In 1932 the Zuiderzee was closed off by a dyke and has now become a lake known as the IJsselmeer.
Such beautiful architecture .

Very interesting building. It looks like the builders built half of it then decided to quit.
