A perfect day for messing about on the River Great Ouse at Houghton. I didn't do any rowing today as I was looking after 5 year old Imogen, taking photos and shouting instructions to the rower, (by turns Imogen's Dad and Grandad.) This is the picturesque church at Hemingford.
The Hemmingfords are very pretty villages, with many thatched cottages....this is a lovely view of the church Judith, just the right weather for messing about on the river!!
@happypat Yes it does look quiet here but it's taken from the river. In fact it was pleasantly busy - children swimming in the water, families having picnics in the sun, but nowhere too busy, and no queues! Amazing!
lovely picturesque shot, and shooting from the boat gives an interesting lower perspective. it's probably impossible to get a shot like this without being out on the river.
@spookydirt I think you're right, about the shot. In fact the shot of Houghton Mill itself is impossible except from a boat and the sun is always in the wrong place!!
