Paxton Pits is a local nature reserve which has been created from an old gravel quarry. These beautiful lakes are now a major breeding place for many different water birds. When I get my new camera.........!!! I hope to be able to take some long shots of the herons, cormorants and kingfishers which are often spotted here. For now I will have to be content with these lake views.
