Narowboat Kjeldahl at Kilbly Bridge wharf

Abandoned narrowboat Kjeldahl has finally been recovered and is tried up at Kilby Bridge wharf. Often narrowboats have their own web/facebook pages etc. I've tried to find some news or history on this boat, unfortunately nothing except the name Kjeldahl refers to a scientific process. Hopefully restoration will take place locally and we get to see the finished result.
Very nice shot

So glad to hear it's getting a new lease on life. It looks like it has a lot of character and I like the vintage treatment you've given to this shot.

Hi I came across this post as I was searching Google for my fathers old boat and this is it. Very sad to see it this way. My dad has this boat fitted out, maybe built, and he lived on it with his wife nearly 30 years ago. He was an engineer and used to hang out at the Black Country museum. His name was James Keith Grant. He died 25+ years ago and left his wife Annette this boat which they lived on. They had another working boat called polynomial.
