Love the detail of how you captured the shot. I have family that live in the development around Canterwood Golf Club in Gig Harbor and they reported several inches of snow.
@mamabec Check the exit for the picture, I thought I had isolated at 100, but auto kicked in and did 3200, 4 sec exposure (on a tripod ), waved the beam of the flashlight only on that tree ( cropped image) which lite the trees behind, so I cropped so it didn't look funny. Fiddled with the exposure, I think +1.5, white balance was ok.
Lovely composition of snowy bare branches... I do prefer this over the daylight version, but I enlarged the daylight version to mimic a crop and liked it that way on black. I think it was for the same reason you shot the night one... it helped get rid of some of the busy-ness of the background.
