@johnfalconer I don't think governments whats to solve the problem of how to heat your home when the elelctric power goes out. Especially in rural areas.
Althought there are annual burn bans during the summer months. They have banned stump burning in or part of the world.
We had a power cut for nearly 8 hrs about a week ago. I received a text saying power was restored, let them know if your supply wasn't. I rang up panicking as my phone battery was nearly out and they kindly sent me a power bank in case it happened again!
