Deer at dusk by caitnessa

Deer at dusk

This young doe and buck ran across the road in front of me. I think my vehicle attracts them or something! More close encounters than I can count.
Haha - I'm sure it is the same with our kangaroos. They look very curiious.

@purdey that still seems funny to me. That you have to be on the watch for kangaroos :)

Dear me! What an adventure! OR perhaps more appropriately... Deer you! Anyway, It was lovely of them to stop and pose for your camera before running off back into the woods. Very nice photo. Lovely lighting on the deer.

@wendyfrost that's how I felt too!
Today we saw another one run in front of the car. My daughter thinks it's so funny and yells Oh deer oh deer

@caitnessa don't know where you happen to live, but I do know that in certain places, like Connecticut, one must be careful of getting burnt deer tics because they carry Lyme Disease. (Named after Lyme, CT. )

@mbrutus I live in New Richmond WI, about 45 min from St Paul MN. Yes, we have a lot of deer tics around here too. I know quite a few people who have gotten lymes disease.

However, I did not know that it got it's name from a town though! Usually most diseases are named after the Dr who discovered them (or the treatment for them). How interesting. Like they say, you learn something new every day. :)
