The Lake walk in Canal Park ( Duluth, MN) has many photo opportunities. Besides the lighthouse, there is the aerial lift bridge, the rocks, the ship artifacts, and ships in the harbor.
I love watching the seagulls wait for people to drop popcorn. They soar around the sky ( and walk on the sidewalk) waiting for a stray piece to fall... then they go in for the taking!)
I tried multiple attempts to get capture a seagull flying, with the lighthouse in the background.
Flying birds are not that easy to photograph!
It took me quite a few attempts. Gotta love digital right?!
Sometimes I still find myself only taking one shot of something, forgetting the wonderful aspect of digital cameras.
I remember shooting an entire roll of film and getting one or two "good shots" of something. :)
Fantastic capture, Heather! Outstanding composition! This Lake Walk looks like a wonderful area to visit. I love both watching seagulls and taking photos of them. I know exactly what you mean about taking lots and lots of shots and ending up with maybe one or two good ones...especially with a subject like a flying seagull. Fav! :-)
