Hudson WI has an annual hot air ballon festival every year. In the mornings they have up to 30 balloons launch. Quite something to see.
The night before they usually have an event called moon glow, where all the balloons are inflated, but stay (anchored) on the ground. Its so pretty to see them all lit up and glowing againts the night sky.
Well this year it was too windy to hold that. So instead they held the "field of fire" and they just had all the pilots in their baskets, and they blew the flames up every few seconds. interesting to see, for about 5 minutes. haha.
We were dissapointed as we parked about a half a mile away, and walked in the cold to see the ballons. Oh well, my youngest called it an adventure. And we went to Starbucks for hot tea to warm up after.
