We had a lovely afternoon building dens in somebodies wood, cooking potatoes on the bonfire to eat with chilli. then later burning all the branches to tidy up the piles of branches. Then my son and I walked home across the fields for 1 few km. It was a restful outdoor day and nice to be able to walk home avoiding all the roads. Walking to the end of the leaf carpeted wood we found this little gate into the field. The trees were in the woods were particularly ancient and interestingly contorted; I shall try and post one of them later.
