Today was a sad day. UT Veterinary Hospital called us a little before 3 AM to say our brown-eyed girl, Sally, was gone. We grieve, yet are grateful God allowed her to share our lives for 12 years. She brought us much love, joy and happiness! Sally loved to walk out on our retaining wall and survey the field below.

Sorry for your loss, still miss my dog Lucy, I had her from six weeks old for fifteen years. Sally had a great life and was well loved by the sound of it.
sorry to hear that Cathy - always a difficult time but now she's with all those other well loved pets in doggie heaven, playing to her hearts content (it's how I like to think of the many we have lost over the years!) Great grey day shot - nicely composed
Cathy, for some reason I've never seen this one before. It really touched me. I can imagine the grief you must have gone through losing such a close friend. I used that same saying on a picture that I sent to my brother-in-law for Christmas, who is a big dog lover. It's a great picture and a lovely tribute to Sally.
