Sunny Disposition

This daffodil is reaching for the sun! The morning sun caused the ruffled corona to create a shadow on the perianth. I am getting anxious for spring!
Very pretty! Nice shot!

@bardejov This was just a happy accident... I was out walking my dogs, camera in my pocket... shot this through the fence.. the sunlight was just right. I did darken the background a bit.

I love the way the light is filtering through the petals. How did you set this shot up?

Beautifully lit!!FAV!

@hasselhotch David, I didn't set it up... I was out walking my dogs around the perimeter of our fence and this little daffodil was just there basking in the sunlight. I had my camera in my pocket, shot the photo with one hand, dog leash in the other... I just cropped the photo and deepened the shadows, giving the background a blacked out look. That's it. I am a novice, the only processing I do is on basic Picasa. I see lots of flower photos that I would like to learn how to 'set up'... I'm sorry that's not much help.

@samanthamphoto Thank you! I wasn't sure how I felt about shooting a flower from the backside, but the sunlight seemed so nice that morning.
