@tksharpley @kerristephens Thanks... the photo is a little grainy, but all that pollen you see on the leaves is about to get the best of me... driven me indoors!

@jgpittenger Thank you, Jane. I had a virus and a killer headache yesterday so I had fallen behind a day here on 365. Thankful for allergy medications! They help!

@meisen325 Thanks, Monica. I think the cicadas have just shed their skins as I am seeing abandoned exoskeletal remains here and there. This guy was very patient as I took photos.

@jennklein @vorka @maggiemae @tobi @hasselhotch @carwyn3 @shepardx2 @myautofocuslife @carolmw @jenniferruge @boogie @peterdegraaff @paulat10 @melorac @islawight @pammerritt @judithg @bardejov @fueast @sailingmusic I appreciate your taking the time to view... the cicada made the evening news... apparently they have been in the ground 17 years and have emerged this year and the 17 year cycle will begin again. These are NOISY insects! The biologist on the news said there could be 100,000 of them in an acre of woods... there are about 60 acres of woods behind my house... they are expected to keep 'chirping' through July... I may be DEAF by then! :)
May 9th, 2012
@calm That's a long cycle - interesting stuff - ear plugs required!!
May 9th, 2012
