I had the most wonderful parents! They adored each other, and one of the things they both enjoyed was sports. Their senior year in high school they were named Most Athletic. After college, Daddy continued playing baseball in the minor league's American Baseball Congress. I spent many weekends in the ballpark! In 1964, they won the National Championship, with my Daddy as pitcher. The bat shown in the photograph meant so much to him, it has all the names of his teammates. Beneath his bat is his college letter sweater. I miss my Daddy, not just on Father's Day, but every day!
