Antioch

Some of the country churches in our area still have horse blocks, or mounting blocks, that were used when horses were the mode of transportation. This mounting block is crumbling due to the ravages of time and weather. I'm not certain the church building is still used for worship.

There's a mounting block in Cambridge with very worn steps that I've often thought of taking but the background is not very good and definitely doesn't match up to this!

Beautiful old church, no telling how many weddings, baptisms, funerals, pie suppers, singin's, have come to this old church! The steeple is more ambitious than most of the old churches in our area. Your photo is perfect- don't think it could have been done better by anyone, any time.
