Our son, on the left, and his best friend (since preschool) graduated from the University today, Magna Cum Laude and Cum Laude. So proud of both of these fine young men, not just for the achievement today represents, but the kind of men they have grown up to be. Both will be pursuing masters degrees, but at different universities. Sad that this part of their journey together is coming to a close. Yet I eagerly await what God has in store for each of them. I am sure they will be lifelong friends, forever friends, even if they are separated by miles. How I love both of these guys!
@nicoleterheide Thanks for your kind words, Nicole! This mama is struggling a bit (no tears at graduation, but certainly lots of memories running through my head!).
@mrsvanpatten It may not be the best photo, but it marks a big day in the lives of these two boys! Thanks for indulging me a personal moment here on 365!
@carolmw How sweet of you, Carol! I always heard older people talk about how fast the years go by and now I understand what they mean... thanks for your good wishes, and I pray your grandson has a wonderful journey down the road to adulthood!
@eniaral Indeed it is! I hope these two young men realize what a blessing their friendship is and will find ways to stay in touch often as the years go by! As a Mom, I treasure these things in my heart!
Yay! Your son and his friend are very handsome! Congratulations on their graduation! Your son is blessed to have such a lifelong friend. it will be fun to see God's plan for them.
Congrats Cathy, I know you've got to be so proud of them and rightfully so. It's a great picture and I'm sure they will remand friends. My twin grandson's also graduated yesterday and the other one last week with their Doctorate Degree in Law. It's such an accomplishment for our fine young men and women of today.
what a great shot - i'm sure their friendship will not wane over the years to come. I'm blessed to still be close to my best friend from university even though we live 3,000 miles apart!
