Watagua Lake was created by the Tennessee Valley Authority in the 1940's. It is located in the Appalachian Mountains in Upper East Tennessee, and a portion of the Appalachian Trail crosses its southwestern tip. The reservoir is currently at record high levels. There is little development around the lake and the water is a beautiful blue color. Watagua is known for its walleye among fishermen.
Stunning capture. So peaceful and serene. I might even take up fishing if I lived near a place like this Or better yet, take a chair, a book, and just sit and enjoy the scenery while enjoying a good book.
@aglennc A book and a chair sound good to me! This is a very tranquil place, not too many people as it is a rather remote location. Thanks for your kind words!
