I always feel a bit nostalgic when we vacation at the beach. My parents and some friends bought a condo there more than 20 years ago. This has been our primary vacation spot ever since. My Mom's last vacation with us was in 1995, and my Daddy's last one was in 2000. Being there stirs lots of memories for me... good ones, and I think it also magnifies how much I miss them. The sunlight on the wet sand in this photo reminds me of where they are now, that they crossed over to that 'golden shore', and of this verse...

@amandal This is Myrtle Beach, South Carolina... about a 6 hour drive for us. We usually go over there 2-3 times a year. I love to visit, but I am always glad to come home to the mountains!
