Too Soon From The Nest by calm

Too Soon From The Nest

This baby Gray Catbird strayed from the nest too soon. Unable to fly and on the ground, our Maggie found her in the ivy. I don't think the little bird was hurt. We will walk our dogs in the backyard for the next few days and try to give it a chance to survive. Hopefully the neighbors dogs and cat won't find it.

Question: Should I have focused on its beak instead of its eye?

I like the focus on the eye! You really have captured this one quite well and I hope he/she is flying in a few days!

You should feed it some grubs and water! My mum is currently nursing a blackbird:

@fueast Oh, I think I would like your Mum! Haven't seen our little baby since I came home, but the mama and daddy are still hovering close by so hopefully it is hiding somewhere... a veterinarian once told me that they would feed their babies on the ground if they located them... but they are certainly at risk of predators!

focus on the eye they say for animals and birds. Wonderful detail. I am praying that this little bird will be OK.xx

Great capture. We had a baby in our yard. Has to retrieve him from the pool twice but I believe he survived. Good luck!
